What is Thigh Reduction/Thigh lift?

Thigh Reduction, also known as thigh lift, is a surgical procedure aimed at improving the contour and appearance of the thighs. It involves removing excess skin and fat from the inner or outer thighs, tightening the remaining skin, and reshaping the thighs for a more toned and proportionate look.

Thigh Reduction is aimed at

  • improving the contour and appearance of the thighs
  • addressing concerns such as sagging skin, excess fat deposits, and lack of thigh definition
  • enhancing overall body shape and confidence.

Who is a good candidate for Thigh Reduction?

Good candidates for Thigh Reduction are individuals who:

  • Have excess skin or stubborn fat deposits in the thigh area that do not respond to diet or exercise.
  • Are in good overall health and do not have any medical conditions that may interfere with the healing process.
  • Have stable body weights and are close to their ideal weight.
  • Have realistic expectations about the outcomes of the procedure.

What should you expect during the consultation?

You will meet our team members, and your surgeon will personally evaluate your condition and will ask about your health history. You will have an opportunity to discuss treatment options and the recommended course of treatment, explore outcomes of procedures and the potential risks and complications associated and get your questions answered.

What should you expect during the treatment?

The anaesthesia team assesses your medical fitness before surgery. They can prescribe some diagnostic testing and medications. Once the medical fitness is declared, instructions for the day of surgery are given. On discharge, postoperative care and follow-up instructions are explained.

What should you expect during the recovery?

There can be some discomfort, swelling and pain after surgery. Post-surgery medications are prescribed for faster recovery. Our team will advise you on the care of the surgical site and feeding or activity restrictions that may be necessary to promote normal healing. Also, you can discuss specific general health issues to be monitored during recovery with your doctor. Periodic follow-ups are advised to monitor the patient’s health status.

How much does a thigh lift cost?

Treatment cost varies based on the type of procedure planned and many other factors like other medical conditions, choice of operative facility, room choice etc. We also offer short-stay surgeries (like same-day surgeries) to save costs. While cost is an important consideration from your perspective, it should not override clinical considerations, and that’s why a balanced approach is advisable.

Will my insurance plan cover it?

Thigh Reduction is generally considered a cosmetic procedure and is not typically covered by insurance. It is advisable to check with your insurance provider to understand the specific terms and conditions of your policy.
