What are Facial Implants?

Facial implants are solid materials that are surgically placed in specific areas of the face to enhance facial contours and improve facial symmetry. They are commonly made of silicone, porous polyethylene, or other biocompatible materials. Facial implant surgery is aimed at individuals who are in good overall health and have specific concerns regarding facial balance and contour.

Facial Implant is aimed at

  • Enhancing facial contours and symmetry
  • Augmenting weak or recessed chins
  • Adding volume and definition to flat cheekbones
  • Improving facial harmony and balance
  • Correcting asymmetrical facial features

Who is a good candidate for Facial Implants?

What should you expect during the consultation?

You will meet our team members, and your surgeon will personally evaluate your condition and will ask about your health history. You will have an opportunity to discuss treatment options and the recommended course of treatment, explore outcomes of procedures and the potential risks and complications associated and get your questions answered.

What should you expect during the treatment?

The anaesthesia team assesses your medical fitness before surgery. They can prescribe some diagnostic testing and medications. Once the medical fitness is declared, instructions for the day of surgery are given. On discharge, postoperative care and follow-up instructions are explained.

What should you expect during the recovery?

There can be some discomfort, swelling and pain after surgery. Post-surgery medications are prescribed for faster recovery. Our team will advise you on the care of the surgical site and feeding or activity restrictions that may be necessary to promote normal healing. Also, you can discuss specific general health issues to be monitored during recovery with your doctor. Periodic follow-ups are advised to monitor the patient’s health status.

How much does a Facial Implant cost?

Treatment cost varies based on the type of procedure planned and many other factors like other medical conditions, choice of operative facility, room choice etc. We also offer short-stay surgeries (like same-day surgeries) to save costs. While cost is an important consideration from your perspective, it should not override clinical considerations, and that’s why a balanced approach is advisable.

Will my insurance plan cover it?

Reconstructive surgeries are generally covered by health insurance, but in case of congenital & cosmetic problems, some insurance may not cover them. Be sure to consult with your insurance company in advance of any surgery.
